Finally at ease again...

Monday : Maths
Tuesday : Chemistry
Wednesday : Economics

And yippee!!! My mid year exams are finally over! It's only a mere 3 days since my GP exam was before the hols, and it already seems like ages. Haha. The exams are tough, but I guess I'll manage to survive. I'm not really confident, but it's better to stay optimistic before the results come out. Anyway, MJ requires our parents to go collect our mid year results with us from our Civics Tutor. Whoa, now that's quite a move.

Went through a gruelling 3 whole hours of Econs before feeling totally at ease after walking out of the examination hall. Of course, plans to go out were swiftly made and carried out. Huishan, Sun, Zongxiang, Mark, Amalina and I then travelled to Pasir Ris to meet up with Maureen.(Her subject exams had finished yesterday)

Zongxiang alighted at Tanah Merah;he wanted to go home and sleep. So the rest of us bade him goodbye and continued on to Cineleisure where we had our lunch at Long John's.

We initially wanted to catch The Hulk but Mark had already seen it before and the next screening time was also at 4pm, which was a little too late for us. So we had to consider other alternatives. Maureen and I had watched Finding Nemo before so it was out. Amalina was the "best", being a fan of horror flicks. Luckily, there were none showing. Haha. And then, the idea of watching Charlie's Angels Full Throttle slipped into the conversation. Due to the bad impression I had of the 1st show, I was quite insistent on NOT watching it. Hai, but since all of them did not mind it, I gave in.

But it was not really that bad after all. Very humourous and comical, as expected. And also with all those bitchy stuff from the girls blah blah. Definitely a much nicer show than the 1st.

Sun wanted to get a new pair of sports shoes after the movie or rather a pair of proper shoes, as she calls it. Mark then led the way to both Peninsula Plaza and Peninsula Shopping Centre, where there were a number of shops selling cheap and good stuff. But there were either no appropriate shoe sizes or they were too expensive. In the end, Sun didn't get her ideal pair of shoes. We both have decided to make a maiden trip down to Queensway, known for its good and cheap stuff. Erm, btw, does anyone know how to get there? I know it's by MRT, what I mean is the exact place and location?

Before I forget, all the best to those who have yet to finish their exams! :)

Choir BBQ!
05:24 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2003
Today's Friday the thirteenth, if any of you guys have noticed. Supposed to be one spooky day, but almost everything went smoothly. And I also had great fun too.

Accompanied Sun to look for Miss Quek, the teacher i/c of volleyball, after our Econs lecture.(Sun wants to join volleyball instead of staying on in choir). Actually this problematic matter of changing ccas has dragged on for quite a while. Sun even had to consult Ms Esther Lai for the go-ahead....so anyway Sun told me that Ms Quek called her later on and said that the present volleyball team has quite a number of amateur volleyball players and what they need now are former school players. So it's pretty obvious that she is hinting to Sun that her presence is not really needed in the team. Well, but Sun is still trying to choose between the 2 ccas; she says she doesn't mind staying in volleyball and being only a amateur player.....ok enough of this. But anyway, the result is that she has decided to stay put in choir.....haha....it's all back to square 1 huh?

We then decided to meet at Bedok before our choir bbq at Joel's conodominium. The meeting time was 3.15pm. Note:3.15pm. But when I called DEAR MISS SUNYANI at 3.15pm to ask why she had not reached yet, she was still at home combing her hair. @#$%^&*9@#......combing her hair??!! Ok fine....so being the patient and kind me, I waited at the interchange till 3.50pm, instead of just walking off. So of course, we had not much time left to shop around, since we had to reach Pasir Ris by 4.30pm for the bbq.

So it was a rush to look at my vcds and a rush to take a look at Sun's desired wallet. And then at 4.20pm, when we were on the MRT heading for Pasir Ris, Wayne smsed me saying that the meeting time was postponed to 5pm. Grrrr.....we were at a loss for words.....clenching our fists. Haha. You can imagine how frustrated I was then, not to mention Sun repeatedly complaining in my ear that she felt she was too 'orchardy' wearing jeans instead of a pair of shorts. I had on a pair of shorts you see, so then she also asked why didn't I call her to tell her I was going to wear a pair of shorts, when in actual fact, SHE was supposed to call me instead.

So it turned out that we still had some time to shop around White Sands. Wayne was already there, so we met up with him. Meeting up with him was also quite a good idea, since it spared me from Sun's complaining for a little wee while. Haha, because Wayne then became Sun's target for advice on whether she was being too 'orchardy' wearing her long pair of jeans. DUH.

Then, Sun spotted a shop selling shorts, jeans and stuff. They are all more for guys, but Sun didn't mind. So we spent the half an hour IN THAT SHOP, while poor hungry me couldn't even grab a bite to eat. Since I had to accompany her, helping her to choose which pair of shorts was the most suitable. At long last, she decided on a pair of feminine dark blue Rip Curl ones, which was a miracle since all the others she selected beforehand were tomboyish. Lol. And then, 'diasater' struck. Sun wanted to wear the shorts immedaitely, so the lady helped her remove the price tag. But the shorts cost $24.90 and Sun thought it was $12.90. So of course, Sun rejected purchasing it, and the lady was undoubtedly quite livid.(She even snatched the shorts back from Sun). Hai. All that trouble for nothing.....

Anyway, we then met up with the others, ran all the way to catch the no.3 bus since its darn frequency was very slow, and reached Joel's condominium (Elias Green) in less than half an hour.

I felt rather amused when the security guard asked us to line up in a straight row for an assessment of how many people were to enter the building.....I was like hello?? But seriously, Joel's condo was not exactly that grand.....even Sun agrees with me....lol. Great minds think alike huh?? Kenneth had ordered food-catering which had already arrived and was situated at the playground area. But before making a beeline for our dinner, we went up to Joel's place first. And his dog is sooooooooo cute!!! Well, it's a she-dog, whose name is Tiddles.....lol. So Sun, Toh Ying, Xiu Qin and I promptly sat ourselves down on the kitchen floor and started to become engaged in entertaining ourselves with the dog. Practically forgetting our great hunger. Haha.

The food was not bad, considering it cost a full $300++. I was surprised to hear that Kenneth ordered food-catering actually, since it was supposed to be just a bbq session in the first place. But we still bbqued chicken wings eventually, so forget it.

A bunch of us went to busy ourselves with the fitness area while some of the guys went off swimming. There was actually a plan hatched by Grace and Adrian to toss Paulus, our chairperson, into the pool but sadly, it was dismissed later. For what reason, I dunno, but it was certainly a great pity. Haha. Grabbed the chance to take shots with Wayne's digital camera and played poker cards to while away the time too. Some kind souls who had booked the squash courts even lent us their rackets and time for some fun.....:) Also went up to the snooker room where Joel had booked a table for the others to play.....we managed to watch them play for a while before being chased away by the security guard who had to make sure that only 4 people were at the pool table. Ok, whatever.

But anyway, I had a really great time for this bbq. Thanks Kenneth! And to all the others who were involved in the preparations and cleaning-up!! -_>"

Went out after extra lectures yesterday to celebrate Sun's 18th birthday. Me, Wayne, Chun Huat and of course Sun lar. We actually planned to gorge ourselves at the Seoul Garden at Bugis since we were extremely hungry. But then CH had to spoil the whole thing by telling us he had already taken his lunch at home.(He's in CJ btw.) Great.

So we decided to settle our lunch at Yoshinoya, which was packed. But luckily, we managed to get seats. Shopped around after that.....Wayne made use of the opportunity to finish his film.....oh and Sun and I also bought Wayne a very belated birthday gift. Haha...sorry lar Wayne....hope you don't mind!

***

Went shopping this afternoon at CP with my family. Bought lots of stuff in no less than 3 whole hours.....I'm not a shopping freak, so 3 hours is already sufficient to knock me out...haha. Oh no! And I still have choir from 8.30am-4pm tomorrow.....

Went to White Sands after school today with Wayne and Siew Kia to get a quick bite before shopping around for a birthday gift for dear Sun. Her bdae is tomorrow, btw. Finally decided on a purple cushion with the words "Funky Chick" on it at "CardsnSuch", beautifully wrapped and a card to go with it too. Gave it to her before choir practice. Hope she likes it. Not very cheap, you know gal.

Choir practice was shortened by half an hour due to MJ's "soiree"(pronounced as "swar-ray"). Xh should know about this. It's actually a bi-monthly performance up on MJC's very own rooftop garden, by many new-found talents in MJ. It's completely voluntary and the tickets, which are priced at $2 each, are only limited to the first 150 students. The tickets are in very high demand, so it was not surprising that we didn't manage to catch the "soiree".

But we have decided to perform in the next "soiree".....missed the auditions this time round, but we'll grab the opportunity next time.

And one VERY EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THING too! Happy 18th Bdae WAI CHU!!! Miss ya soooooooo much! N I have NOT forgotten ur bdae....haha!

National Economics Quiz at NUS n Mrs Chang's farewell party....:(
08:54 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2003
30 of our students left for NUS this morning for the participation in the National Economics Quiz and for a small number, the presentation. We were the second earliest JC to reach NUS....hehe....the first was Jurong JC. Mr Naresh told us that we were extremely early so we had to wait for quite a while before the quiz commenced.

Turns out all the other JC students were in JC2. All except for MJC. So you can guess that the quiz questions were all killer ones.....furthermore, only about 2% of what we had studied appeared in the quiz. There were 2 sections - 1 was on Economics(40qns)and the other was on Fund Management(10qns). ??!!.....but anyway, Mr Naresh is cool for letting us gain this experience.....maybe I can try again next year....haha.

S309 held a farewell party for Mrs Chang today. Ordered 4 pizzas, garlic bread and cans of Pepsi Twist. Haha, what a feast huh? Not forgetting some photo shots as well. But I really wish Mrs Chang would stay in MJ and continue teaching us. She was definitely a good GP teacher, making GP fun and interesting for us. So sad, now that she's leaving MJ...:(

Chemistry test on Chemical Bonding tomorrow. A whole 50 plus pages. Geez!

A day of Canto singing and crapping....haha
09:42 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2003
Had my 2.4km rerun this afternoon. Mind you, THIS AFTERNOON. When the scorching sun was high up in the sky, the heat bearing down upon us. Oh man. It was so hot I almost wanted to give up in the midst of my 4th lap. But heck, I decided to keep on running. My timing = 14.21 mins. It's slower than the first run, but well it's still an A. Cheers.

And hey, Maureen is also a Cantonese. So that makes her one more step similar to Wai Chu. Lol. So anyway, Maureen, Olivia, Sun, Cheryl, Huishan and I were like crapping and singing songs and stuff in Canto. Haha, it was real fun man! Sun, Olivia , Huishan and I also went to play basketball and volleyball after P.E. Haha, we kept laughing throughout the game and I really think we sweated more bacuse of the laughter than the sporty games. Haha.

Hehe....cute poem

凉风有信秋月无边
亏我丝胶的情绪好

不是玉树林风潇洒

胸襟和强壮的臂弯

hehe...this poem is cute isn't it? You guys should know where this came from lar....so anyway I sort of memorised the lyrics and the tune and it's really cute reciting it over and over again. Haha, so I decided to include it in my blog.

Yesterday's full-dress rehearsal went smoothly without any glitches. That's a good thing. Finished our dinner at the Esplanade by 6.15pm and changed into our costumes and put on make-up by 6.45pm.

Seriously, I think the performance was quite grand. Being in DHSSE for 4 yrs, this is quite a new experience for me. Not the experience of performing onstage of course, but its the singing part which is new. I mean, during the Finale of Kaleidoscope where SE combines with CO, choir and band, I always wondered what it would be like if I was singing in the choir. Haha, at that time, I was thinking that I would probably not even join choir for the rest of my school days. But I am in choir, and singing is not exactly such an easy task as I had thought. You have to remain standing throughout the performances and rehearsals for one thing, and warm-ups are also a must before every practice. Haha, but nothing ever comes easy, does it?

***

Our choir performances finally came to a close last night. There were 2 performances, one on Friday and the other on Saturday. Whew! Oh, and my GP midyr was also held yesterday. So many events in one week huh? But luckily, it's all over, so we also went to celebrate after our performance last night. Haha. Sun, Wayne, Kenneth, Siew Kia, Karen, Vanessa and I went in a group to Boat Quay and ate our dinner at the Mac there. Of all places, the Mac at Boat Quay. We actually wanted to eat at the Lau Pa Sat but Karen and Siew Kia complained that it was too hot to eat in there. Hai....so we just settled our supper at Mac's, crapped, laughed and snapped some shots together.

Then, Karen and Vanessa wanted to walk down the streets of Boat Quay, lined with all those pubs and restaurants. Oh man, great. No choice then, we had to tag along.

Karen's boyfriend then wanted to meet her at Raffles Place MRT station....we all then started to feel so like extras.....haha. Slowly, they all left one by one: Wayne and Sun alighted at Bedok, Kenneth and Vanessa at Tampines. Leaving me behind....alone with Karen and her boyfriend! Arghhh! So I was there, fulfilling the role of playing gooseberry. Great. And Karen was also staying at Punggol 21. Ha...Ha.

Choir rehearsal at the Esplanade
04:09 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2003
{Listening:Joey Yung-Hui Zhe Chi Bang De Nu Hai}

There was a choir rehearsal at the Esplanade yesterday. Met at City Hall at 5.30pm where we then proceeded to the Esplanade Concert Hall. Had some difficulty locating the exact place(not the Esplanade of course, but the exact concert hall); turned out it was at some corner of the carpark. Had our temperatures taken(they actually have this cool method of knowing your temperature by just getting you to stand on 2 blue footprints, which is connected to their computer) before proceeding to the Green Room for our dinner.

The dinner was delicious and Sun and I shared a second dinner pack.....haha.....guess we were really hungry. The rehearsal was to start at 7pm sharp but the SCO(Singapore Chinese Orchestra)conductor, Mr Ye Cong, wanted to run through with the SCO first, so we just assumed the role of the audience and got to listen to their playing. There are 4 chinese songs in all, which are linked together. i.e.the 4 songs will be combined into 1 long piece. The orchestra's great, but I feel that DHSCO's playing is on par with SCO's......I'm really saying the truth. And also, if you really were to compare, Mr Tay Teow Kiat should be the better conductor, and more experienced too. So 3 cheers for DHSCO! Haha.....

Choir members from MJC Choir and Victoria Choral would be standing on this wooden structure comprising of 5 storeys, fully clad in the theatre costumes, behind the orchestra. There's also a structure shaped as a cage situated in front of us.....when the performance starts, the people backstage will start to play the lighting on us, making use of the visual effect on the audience.

Rehearsal ended at 10.30pm last night. Full-dress rehearsal tomorrow.

Grrrrrr......I'm pissed!! And dead tired too.
09:43 a.m. Monday, May 26, 2003
The 5 stations of the NAPFA test were carried out yesterday afternoon. And I'm REAL PISSED. ESPECIALLY with the P.E. teachers. Firstly, at the very start of the lesson, our dear Ms Pauline Choy broke the agitating news to us about this stupid technical error that occured during our 2.4km run last Wed, which ALSO means that we have no choice but to do a re-run tomorrow morning.

What the heck ok.....I even thought she was kidding initially; she was speaking in a matter-of-fact tone, as if re-running a whole 2.4km run was an everyday thing. Grrrr....and I thought I could have gotten over the run with an A. Now, I can't even confirm my grade. DARN!

Stayed in the library and chatted with Xiao Maureen after dismissal at 4.15pm. Met Wayne and the others at around 5.30pm and left for the SCO.

Wayne, Sun and I met up with Lai Yee since Wayne had to pass her the bag she had asked him to purchase from HK. And we ended up yakking for a while, of course. (She's in ACJC presently.)

Reached SCO at 7pm and gobbled up our dinner; we were so hungry. The food was not bad at all, but maybe a less oily than normal....haha. Received our Artist passes for entry into the Esplanade concert hall, theatre costumes and black shoes. Quite cool actually.....but erm....it has taken quite a toll on us; rehearsal ended at 10pm yesterday.....haha. Tonight's rehearsal venue is at the Esplanade. Mixed feelings now.....both tired and anticipation.

Whatever lar.

Deja Vu.....
01:08 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2003
Bought an OP wallet at CP yesterday. Of course it's blue, with a tinge of orange. Of course it's the new design. And of course it's cool and nice....haha.

Mum and Dad brought us for breakfast at our old home. MacPherson Road. The market at Blk 37 which is famous for its laksa, porridge and braised meat noodles. Yumyum....scrumptious! Especially the laksa...I also downed a whole oyster cake, but without the oysters though. I hate oysters....

Choir rehearsals are down for the whole of next week at the Singapore Conference Hall, excluding Wed and Fri. Hope I won't drop dead of fatigue. Our performance will be on Sat at the Esplanade. So if you guys are interested in this combined performance by the choir and the chinese orchestra, or just wanting to get a laugh at the sight of me singing, make a trip down then. It will be one grand affair.

Horror Shows SUCK!!!
07:26 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003
{Listening:Zhang Zhi Cheng-Ling Chen San Dian Zhong}

My group decided to change the topic for PW today. Since the SQ006 (Blast from the Past) topic we had worked on had several flaws. So now, we are doing on "Synergy", which according to Jac Yew, is a much easier topic. Also, the specific plan we are planning to do on has also met the go-ahead given by Jac Yew. Cheers. (Our plan was also inspired by a speech given by Mr Tee earlier on today so Thank You Very Much Mr Tee! Haha...)

After school, Sun asked me out for a movie. X Men 2. She wanted very much to watch this show and was like almost pleading me to go watch it with her. Haha....I admit the trailer was quite interesting but I had watched X Men before and it wasn't very nice, so I was not really keen on it. But anyway, I agreed to catch it with her. I'm so kind you see.

The more the merrier. So we two began to pull our classmates along with us. Benjamin, Si Wei and Zong Xiang had already arranged to watch "Darkness Falls" at Century Square. Different show, so the most we could do together was to travel to Tampines. But we managed to get Maureen (WC's lookalike), Amalina and Huishan to watch with us. Cheers.

But when we reached TM, we discovered that we had missed the 3.25pm show and the next show was only at 6.30pm. No way were we going to catch so late a show man, so we decided to go to Century Square to try our luck. And guess what? X Men 2 was screened at 4pm which was about 5 mins before we reached there. And then Maureen and Huishan came up with this MOST IDIOTIC, CRAZIEST and I-NOW-TOTALLY-REGRET-IT idea of watching "Darkness Falls" which was starting in 5 mins time.

Coincidentally enough, we were seated in the row before the guys-Benjamin, Si Wei and Zong Xiang. Haha, they seemed surprised to see us too. But it can also be described as unluckily enough. Haha. It was like darn scary throughout the whole show, with the evil cackling sounds of the stupid so-called "Tooth Fairy", which completely tarnished my image of the fairy tale character I had since young. Ok, so we girls were practically screaming our heads off at every single shocking and scary part. Sun was the best, asking people to keep quiet when they made any slight noise, but being the loudest and first to scream at the screen. Haha. And as if this was not enough, the guys were extremely sickening. Especially Benjamin and Si Wei. Kept making noises behind us during quiet scenes when the ghost was about to appear.....just for the fun of making us scream. Si Wei even went to the extent of poking his head above Maureen and Amalina to scare them out of their wits. Haha. Zong Xiang was very quiet though. *hiakhiak* He must have been scared stiff....we girls have decided to tease tomorrow. Cheers.

Darn. I hope I won't have any nightmares haunting me tonight.

Sweat, perspiration and 2.4km run is over!!
01:36 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003
Had my 2.4km run today. Finally. I got Zong Xiang as my partner for counting the laps I ran ans as usual, I had butterflies in my stomach just before it commenced. Halfway through the first lap, there was this inner thought in my mind that regretted even running in the first place. Ok, fine. I'm hallucinating. Whatever. So all was well till the third or fourth lap when my stomach suddenly protested. As in, it began to ache. So of course, it kind of hindered my running speed too. But anyway, I didn't stop at all so at least my momentum was still there. I emerged the 6th (of all the girls) so I guess I got an A for this section. Yippee!! At least I met my target after all.....

Got back my GP essay too. (The marks are counted for the CA) I got 31/50 which is like only a B4. Oh man. The highest was 34 so I still can catch up. I hope.

By the way, I also had a close shave on the way home. Almost had the same fate as XH.....*touch wood*. I was running over this grass patch in a bid to catch bus 83 when a part of it suddenly caved in, bringing my left foot with it. Whew! LUCKILY, I didn't sprain it, or it would be a real knotty matter man. THANKS GOD!

note to WC: Yoz gal, I understand that when u make up ur mind on something u want to do, it'll be real hard to talk u out of it. But just consider my suggestion okie?? Try not to move out from "Arrow Heights" into the rather dark and sleazy place you haf set ur eyes upon lar. Security is extremely important in a place like Australia. Not being naggy lar, I'm just being concerned......hehe. And come back soon! All of us miss ya! (Especially me lar....:))

You are an idealist. While idealism is somewhat of
an admirable quality, it can greatly distort
one's view of life and render practical, feet-
on-the-ground mentality nearly impossible.
While others may admire your optimism, idealism
can get out of hand when its victim is unable
to face up to the facts. An extra dosage of
optimism can be harmful to anyone.

Block Test Afternath
11:57 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003
{Listening:Vanessa Carlton-A thousand miles}

The past week was a frantic revision of Chemistry, Econs and Maths C for the Block Test from the 17th of May to the 19th.

But now, it's finally over and here I am, using a computer in MJC's library to update my diary. XH messaged me earlier on, saying that she had sprained her right ankle and was resting at home. If you want to know the details, go read her blog. XH, get well soon!!!

As for choir, we had 2 combined rehearsals at the Singapore Conference Hall located at Shenton Way. The first one was with the Victoria Choral, comprising of young adults, middle-aged adults and senior citizens. Cool huh? Some people really know and love to sing. Haha. Anyway, Mr Nelson Kwei was also emphasized as an experienced and well-known choral conductor. Even Sun is having second thoughts about joining volleyball now. Well, really hope to see her stay in choir. The Singapore Chinese Orchestra joined us for the second rehearsal. I was absent from a bout of flu and missed the supposedly grand combination of chinese instruments and singing voices, according to Wayne. But never mind, there will be a few more rehearsals coming up anyway.

My stomach is starting to growl now. C Ya.

Cool stuff!!

Sat for an Econs test on demand and supply this morning. 15 MCQ questions and 2 short structured questions. I have this feeling that I won't do as well as expected. Shucks.

Practised my 2.4km run with Sun after that on the school track. Ran only four out of the required six for fear of exerting ourselves. My timing was 9.05 minutes, which is around my target. Guess I should be able to get an A for this section : 14.30 minutes.

Went back home to shower and change before meeting Chun Huat at Suntec to get a Mothers' Day gift. Chose a vcd showing Emil Chau's concert at Tower Records which cost $24.95. Think Mum will like it.

Crossed over to the Esplanade and visited the library there. Saw LOTS of music scores that I would have loved to own and MANY classical cds consisting of violin and piano concertos. Oh man!!! I should make trips there more often. And so, I've decided to become a premium member, requring a membership fee of only $20.80 a year. Ha! With this membership, I will be allowed the right to loan these extra stuff and the access to the practice room.(there's a piano there for use.)

Clocked 15.08mins for my trial run today. Well, its a B. I missed A by a darn 38 seconds. Looks like I'll have to brush up on my stamina skills to accelerate in the last lap.

Great.

Election for the choir committee took place today. Voted Wayne for the post of Secretary and Kenneth for the post of Bass section leader. Really do hope they manage to get in.

SARS awareness @MJC was officially launched during assembly today by Ms Esther Lai. A short video clip done by the Multimedia Club was presented after that. Sun, Karishma and I went down to the canteen during lunch to do our part in tending the games stall. Our class, S309, answered lots of quiz questions successfully and were allowed song dedications, gaining us lots of CG points. Yea!

Given a GP compre to complete by tomorrow morning. Tough piece of work. Am still surviving though. Michelle Wong informed us that there would be no cca points given for econs peer tutoring. Instead, a certificate of participation would be awarded. Heck, I'm not going to change my mind anyway.

And I'm truly and totally stressed out....this splitting headache has already developed and I've still got lots of prep work to do!!! I feel like skipping college tomorrow for a rest at home but 1)I've got no valid reason 2)There's the 2.4km trial run tomorrow and Pauline Choy is one not to be trifled with 3)Our class has photo-taking tomorrow and its like such a once-in-a-lifetime kind of event. Arghhhhhh!!!! Someone save me!!!!

NAPFA test.....geez....
05:23 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2003
MJ's soccer team had a match against VJ today.....the last results I heard was 2-0 to our disadvantage. Hai, and that was just 10 mins before it ended. So I guess there won't be any chance of us catching up on the scores, unless there's a miracle. But since VJ has been the champion for ages, I think MJ's soccer team is already not bad....haha. Really.

Econs quiz today. Or rather, a short test totalling 15 marks. Easy as pie. Not bragging though. Relieved.

Did the 5 items of the NAPFA test during P.E. today. Excluding the 2.4km run of course. I'm now aching all over and I think I pulled a ligament during stretching. Darn. And Ms Pauline Choy HAD to inform us about a trial 2.4km run this Wednesday. Great. Just GREAT.

Hectic, busy, whatever....
04:10 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2003
Ms Esther Lai(MJ's principal) had a good talk with us yesterday during PCCG. Topic: the revised JC1 college calendar plus the fast approaching block tests, and the mid year and promo exams which would form the major part of our JC life later on in the year.

Tone and content of her speech: Serious. Basically the usual stuff about exams; a must to study hard consistently......blah blah.....But the grading bit was a little new. MJ's requirement for JC1 promotion to JC2 is 1A 2AO. 1A = 75 marks and above 1B = 65-74 marks (this mark system is for A level subjects; the standard for Mother Tongue is a little higher, but since I'm not taking CLAO, I shan't bother about its mark system.) SAT exams would also be commencing this December; our first attempt at it is scheduled on the 6th held in MJC. (unlike some other JCs whose venue is at some centre, hehe.) Whoa! Looks like we're all set for a busier schedule in the future man....

PW discussion for my group was postponed to today as Hon Kin was involved in MJ's soccer match against SAJC. And boohoo! MJ lost 1-0......they're up against VJ next week, haha, and we'll lose for sure.....
